IBM expands WebSphere BPM

In the coming year, IBM will expand the business process management capabilities of its WebSphere middleware, says InformationWeek.

Business process management has become a focus as companies seek to improve and automate previously disconnected or manual processes.

Craig Hayman, GM of IBM's Websphere middleware unit, said business process management is a natural follow-on to IBM's previous emphasis on services-oriented architecture.

Dynamics Research bags FEMA contract

Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC) a management consulting, engineering, and technology solutions provider to federal and state governments, has been awarded a contract with the Federal Management Agency (FEMA) Office of External Affairs worth up to $1.2 million, reports CNNMoney.

The contract, which has a one-year base period of performance and four one-year options, is to provide a wide range of programme and task management services and logistics, analysis and evaluation support to the agency.

Chuck Schefer, DRC senior vice-president and GM of the Kadix Management Consulting Group, said: "We are committed to leveraging our organisational change and business process management expertise to provide the agency with cutting-edge solutions, tailored to its programming needs."

EnterpriseWizard 4.0 adds mobile interface

EnterpriseWizard has introduced Release 4.0 of its flagship product, EnterpriseWizard, a Web-based suite of business process solutions that runs on cloud infrastructure, according to Earth Times.

The new release adds a robust mobile interface that runs on a wide array of smart phones, including the new Google Nexus One, the Apple iPhone, and other Android-based phones. It includes 35 updates designed to help organisations automate complex custom business processes such as CRM, service desk, ITIL, and general workflow management.

“EnterpriseWizard's mobile interface allows users to access the system from anywhere at any time and respond to inquiries, generate reports and resolve issues using their smartphone” said Colin Earl, CEO.
