IBM SOA hits the social network
IBM has developed a new social network focused on advancing service oriented architectures (SOA), says CNNMoney.com.
IBM's SOA Social Network brings together a like-minded, global community of thought leaders, information technology and business professionals, university professors and students, and other interested parties through both online and in-person forums designed to help members build skills and share best practices.
As part of IMPACT 2008 -- the industry's largest SOA customer and business partner conference -- IBM is hosting a 72 hour online jam for the global SOA social network to discuss issues, challenges and ideas related to SOA.
DataServices to run in June
DataServices World will run parallel to the SOA World Conference & Expo in June, says ColdFusion.
DataServices World is about the confluence of databases, data warehousing, business intelligence, enterprise computing and Internet computing.
Its focus is architectures and technologies for accessing data from heterogenous data sources and providing that data to consumers such as components, services and applications.
IBM acquires Telelogic
IBM announced the completion of its approximately $845 million tender offer for the shares of Telelogic AB, says CNNMoney.com.
The tender offer was finalised after IBM obtained acceptance from 96.9% of stock ownership in Telelogic as well as satisfaction of other conditions of the offer, including necessary worldwide regulatory approvals.
Telelogic is a provider of software to develop technical systems and enterprise architecture, and has more than 8 000 customers worldwide.
