IBM unveils Netezza selling
partners expand their analytics portfolio with Netezza appliances, reports the Computer Business Review.
The company says the initiative will provide partners with sales, marketing, and technical resources to make it easier to market and sell Netezza systems.
According to CRN, IBM is also offering new financing options to channel partners who resell the Netezza appliances, including 0% financing and flexible payment options for customers.
While Netezza largely sold its data warehouse appliances direct to customers, IBM has had its eye on the channel for selling Netezza products since it acquired the company in November last year for $1.7 billion.
The Financial reports that Netezza appliances are an attractive entry point into business analytics for IBM partners.
"Netezza appliances provide IBM resellers, systems integrators and independent software vendors with a unique opportunity to grow their business," said Arvind Krishna, general manager, IBM Information Management.
