IBM wins Hess contract

IBM has signed a $73 million outsourcing deal with oil and gas producer Hess Corporation to provide IT infrastructure services, reports Forbes.

Under the contract, IBM will monitor, and troubleshoot the company`s servers and global .

On news of the deal IBM shares rose to $118.13 and Hess rose to $67.68.

Accenture signs outsourcing deal

Under a three-year outsourcing contract, Accenture will provide WorldSpace with application development and maintenance services, reports TMC Net.

Accenture will implement application development strategies and maintenance services.

These will help WorldSpace get its products and services to market quickly, increase operational efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve revenue opportunities.

Hercules, HCL sign contract

HCL Technologies has entered into a multiyear, multiregional outsourcing contract with Hercules, reports Sify.

The multimillion-dollar contract covers the end-to-end IT infrastructure management across the centre, network, IT security, desktop and help desk services.

HCL has completed the first phase of transitioning certain IT operations and is currently managing the majority of live operations for Hercules` IT infrastructure in the US.
