IBSCON.COM slashes prices for Jaws PDF products

New PDF technology tools open the doorway to the paperless office
Johannesburg, 27 Feb 2003

Integrated Business Solutions, a South African systems integrator, e-business consultancy and preferred reseller of the Jaws PDF product line slashes product prices by over 35%.

Founded in 1996, IBSCON.COM is a well-established e-business consultancy providing e-solutions in financial/banking services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

"The new pricing model introduced by Global Graphics enables us to offer the reliable and high-performance Jaws PDF product range to a larger target audience," said Gerd Naschenweng, director of IBSCON.COM. "Our corporate and government licensing models make the already de-facto document standard an attractive alternative to the very expensive PDF creation tools available in the market right now."

The Jaws PDF product line delivers industrial strength document creation, management and output tools for a range of applications from corporate intranet delivery to e-mail and digital publishing in any business environment. Global Graphics has been a leading technology innovator in the PostScript language field since its Jaws interpreter was first released in 1991 and has been developing PDF creation tools since the format inception in 1994.

"Corporate IT managers or Global Graphics OEMs and system integrators can customise Jaws PDF tools to create their own vertical-market oriented automated processes and workflows as solutions for unique PDF document creation, editing, distribution, management, and printing applications."

At the heart of the suite is Jaws PDF Creator, the simple and affordable solution for creating PDF files that fully conform to the published PDF standard specification. With it, users can generate PDF files from a wide range of native office and page layout applications by "printing" to PDF, dragging-and-dropping to the Jaws PDF creator icon on the desktop, or via the toolbar icon within Powerpoint and Word.

Jaws PDF Editor is an affordable application for the business and small or home office user to edit and mark-up PDF files. It can be used as a standalone tool or as a companion to Jaws PDF Creator and gives users the capability to view, search, manipulate, comment on, mark-up and print PDF documents within a familiar office document environment.

Jaws PDF Server tm is a centralised, server-based software solution for standardised PDF file creation, optimisation and distribution on a corporate scale. This software allows IT system administrators to easily specify and automatically manage the conversion of users` multi-format documents and images into PDF files, and to control their distribution via local/remote printing, faxing, Internet/intranet publishing, entry into document management systems or archiving.

"A single licence of Jaws PDF Creator will cost a user EUR 79.00. A corporate customer wanting to deploy more than 300 seats will only pay EUR 20.00 per licence. This is a very attractive and unbeatable opportunity to produce platform-independent documents," says Naschenweng.
