iCentric Consulting acquires business intelligence division of ACS

As of 1 August 2007, iCentric Consulting acquired the business intelligence division of Associated Computer Solutions (ACS).

With the largest number of business intelligence consultants in South Africa, iCentric will be able to grow and develop its already exceptional experience and expertise in this area.

"This acquisition has a two-fold benefit and is a customer-centric decision. We aim to deliver superior expertise to our current clients and marketplace through the incorporation of the additional Cognos and data warehouse skills, with twenty-three years of invaluable experience held by the ACS consultants. We aim to meet and exceed current expectations," says Marianne Vosloo, Managing Director of iCentric.

With improved resources and capacities, iCentric is set to achieve this while ACS has the opportunity to focus wholly on its core competency, which is specialised application software and installation support to clients and partners. The acquisition comes shortly after iCentric was awarded the prestigious Cognos Service Partner of the Year for South Africa at the Cognos Global honours award ceremony (24 May 2007).

iCentric has gained the additional advantage of a significant sales force which will improve client relationships and ensure on time and within budget delivery. The existing contracts serviced by ACS will be incorporated into the iCentric stable and each will benefit from the ongoing improvements of this acquisition.
