Alignafrica.com has selected ICL to provide a virtual Internet service (VISP) that will effectively give Align full Internet service provider capabilities.
Align`s core business is Web design, system support and consulting. The agreement will now enable Align to provide branded ISP services under its own name, with ICL providing the Internet backbone.
ICL`s infrastructure services manager Mike Semple said by adding ISP services, Align will have the opportunity to attract new clients and expand its business.
Align will differentiate itself through the provision of niche services and onsite support, soon to be countrywide. This will cover installation, maintenance and upgrades.
Semple said ICL`s VISP service offers significant benefits. Services can be tailored to meet specific customer needs whether that service be a Web developer, a corporate company supplying Internet services to customers, or a smaller ISP wanting to address the needs of a niche market.
"A number of companies use ICL to provide VISP services on a local or wider geographic basis. In all cases ICL handles the VISP`s billing and support services under the VISP`s name," he said.
