ICL`s business intelligence (BI) offering, WebFOCUS, was this month named the winner of the prestigious Product of the Month award from Meta Group`s SPEX Division.
WebFOCUS, the Information Builders` solution for wide-scale delivery of real-time information, was evaluated against four critical yardsticks: functionality, user-friendliness, technology and market strength. The strengths listed in the evaluation included data access capability, OLAP functionality (without the need to pre-assemble OLAP cubes), intelligent bursting and distribution of information, and the resource management tools.
According to the Report Evaluation Summary: "WebFOCUS offers a functionally excellent BI platform that is particularly strong in the areas of Internet functionality, query tools, and utilisation of push technology."
Tony Cross, ICL`s Business Development Manager for Systems Integration and Business Intelligence comments: "The award is substantial proof that our offering in the BI tool arena compares most favourably to other market leaders."
