ICT Convergence has announced that it has secured sole rights for the distribution and support of products from UK-based Ascent Technologies. ICT will provide, implement and support Ascent`s enterprise relationship management (ERM) and workflow software solutions in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
ICT general manager Tiaan Grobbelaar defines ERM as the provision and integration of core business modules outside the scope of enterprise resource planning (ERP). "This can include solutions for CRM, helpdesk, call centre, sales force and marketing automation as well as field services to deliver enhanced service, visibility and therefore improved organisational effectiveness," he explains.
Grobbelaar reveals that ICT Convergence has already scored several wins with the Ascent suite at large South African enterprises, which coupled to the international success of the product range, is indicative of its efficacy.
"With the Ascent product range and the advanced professional skills it has on board, ICT has the software and know-how to deliver solutions appropriately tailored for customers throughout Africa and the Indian Ocean islands," asserts Grobbelaar. He says Ascent is a technology that has been proven in markets such as healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, engineering, pharmaceuticals, education, software and hardware suppliers, FMCG and marketing, among others.
"The extensive international success of the Ascent product suite has provided ICT with a best-practice methodology for these and other verticals, allowing for a rapid deployment window and subsequent fast return on investment," he says.
Grobbelaar explains that Ascent is a Microsoft-centric product suite that provides complete and consistent visibility of customer information for the whole business. "Ascent`s products incorporate marketing automation with click-stream analysis, published application programming interfaces (APIs), and added extensibility through Visual Studio and Visual Basic for Applications. Ascent features a Web-portal for mobility and true Web functionality," he says, noting that the Ascent suite is designed for XML and Microsoft`s .Net strategy. In addition, says Grobbelaar, Ascent is one of the few true n-tier applications on the market, leaving all application logic on the server side, thus enhancing and simplifying user interface on the client side.
"ICT offers the best in technology and also has an ISO9001 certified implementation methodology to ensure measurable business benefit and low total cost of ownership to its clients," concludes Grobbelaar.
