idu Software, the specialist Cape Town-based budget and reporting software company, has been nominated in two categories for the prestigious Microsoft 2009 Partner Awards, in key focus areas of its business, Kevin Phillips, managing director of idu Software, has announced.
The annual Microsoft Partner Conference Awards programme recognises partners who have delivered innovative solutions built on Microsoft technologies, and so it is a considerable honour that idu Software has been nominated in the categories of Data Management Solutions Competency Award and ISV/Software Solutions Competency Award.
idu Software is a Microsoft Gold Partner and was short-listed for the awards before being named as finalists in the two categories. The awards will be held on Friday, 7 August at a gala dinner at the annual Microsoft Partner Summit, in Durban.
Commenting on being named as finalists, Kevin Phillips said: “idu Software is delighted to be short-listed for such prestigious awards, particularly in areas that are the cornerstone of our business.
“We deliver products that compete against international vendors and there is frequently an assumption that local products are not as good as their international counterparts. IDU offers the only locally developed Microsoft-based products in our market space, so it is particularly important for us to receive this recognition.”
