Renova, the leading waste management and recycling company in western Sweden, has extended its use of IFS Applications. The agreement covers consulting services for the development of the existing IFS solution as well as the implementation of new components for customer relationship management (CRM), invoicing, human resource management, and business performance.
Renova has more than 700 employees and offers training, consulting and other services as well as the collection, transportation, sorting, and treatment of waste. In 2000, Renova selected IFS to supply standard business applications and currently uses IFS Applications for engineering, maintenance and purchasing/inventory management. Renova has now decided to increase the pace of implementation of IFS Applications.
It has also purchased further components and invested in IFS` portal concept to simplify implementation and reduce training requirements for users. Portals enable easier collaboration with customers and suppliers via the Internet, which will enable Renova to evolve more competitive business processes.
Christian Baarlid, president of Renova, commented: "The aim of developing our business processes is to increase our competitiveness in the Gothenburg area and western Sweden. Our focus on customer service, availability, quality and the environment requires a modern, integrated system that we can grow with. Since we know from experience and the investments we have made that IFS has an excellent product and is very committed, we are increasing our collaboration. After all, recycling is part of our lifestyle at Renova."
"Renova is a key customer for IFS, with business processes that span a wide range of areas within the service sector," added Bj"orn Bergqvist, regional manager for IFS in southern Sweden. It`s very encouraging that our efforts to establish long-term customer relationships are paying off and that IFS is a strategic partner of Renova."
