in eleven different languages. The site was commissioned by Electronic Arts to promote EA Sport's latest game F1 2000, which is set to become a firm favourite with all game fanatics.

Iganic is the award winning web design and development arm of JSE-listed Synergy Holdings Ltd, and EA Sports is a subsidiary of the world's largest interactive entertainment software company, Electronic Arts. Nick Pothmann, Online Manager at EA Germany had this to say of the site: "This is really impressive - one of the best sites I have ever seen!!!!!" Other adjectives used by the staff at EA to describe the site include "fabulous, stunning and this is outstanding work".

"Developing sites for EA is always great fun; our creative team is able to let their imaginations run wild and of course we get to test-run the games well ahead of the official launch date, "said Michele Eichenberger, Client Liaison Director at Iganic.

"Work on the F1 2000 site kicked off with a teaser campaign, which ran during January and February on EA's international site. Through the use of vibrant music and game shots the teaser was used to entice visitors to keep a close watch for the launch of the game and the site," added Eichenberger.

The F1 2000 site is considered a big site as it includes numerous pages with write ups and pictures covering every aspect of the F1 Grand Prix series all in eleven different languages. Flash is used throughout the site in different elements to assimilate the movement of the racetrack, as well as keeping the visitors attention focused.

Some of the options on the site include a full calendar of all F1 events, teams, drivers, circuits and each of these contains full write-ups and pictures of the relevant option. A gaming paddock allows visitors to take part in Trivia Impact a trivia challenge game and the 'Under Pressure' gametes, which are fast-paced matching experiences. Prizes are awarded each month and in addition, Sweden and Germany run F1 promotions in their territory. For those visitors who can't wait to buy the game a link has been created so you can buy right there and then.

The F1 2000 game allows Formula One fans, for the first time ever, to get a taste of the new season from the outset rather than having to wait until the championship is nearly over. Featuring advanced opponent intelligence, real car damage, user friendly set-up screens and pit-crew feedback throughout the race, F1 2000 offers a depth and realism as yet unseen, whilst the lightning fast 3-D graphics and split-screen multi-player mean the arcade racing fan will not be disappointed. The game has now been released and is compatible with IBM, PC and PlayStation so take a look now www.easportsf12000.com Iganic will be meeting with EA in late May to negotiate other projects that are in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
