IIL release new version of project management product
The International Institute for Learning (IIL) has released the second version of its enterprise-wide knowledge management solution, Unified Project Management Methodology (UPMM), adding the international standard for project management - PMI`s PMBOK Guide Third Edition - to a system that already provides flexibility and consistency to organisations.
IIL said in a statement that UPMM 2.0 provides businesses, governments and nonprofits with an easy-to-access electronic knowledge management solution to develop and deploy their own enterprise-wide project management methodology.
The institute said the product delivers a common, scalable and customisable methodology and host of guidelines, templates, examples and other tools right to the desktop, thereby ensuring that everyone in the organisation speaks the same language and uses aligned processes.
The addition of the PMBOK approach ensures organisations can manage themselves according to the international standards and best practices laid out in the authoritative "body of knowledge" published by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a worldwide association whose 205 000 members span 152 nations.
