IMMIX teams up with Francois Pienaar to sell more SharePoint solutions

Johannesburg, 09 Feb 2010

Not be confused with the infamous rugby player, Francois Pienaar, newly appointed Head of SharePoint Strategy and Operations at leading Microsoft Gold Certified Business Solutions provider - IMMIX - comments: “Today, we are excited to announce a new focus at IMMIX for SharePoint. With the imminent release of SharePoint 2010, we believe the time is perfect to take our offering to the next level.”

Adds Graham Davis, Director at IMMIX: “For years, we have provided value-adding solutions built on top of SharePoint in and around our Dynamics ERP offering. Now more than ever, companies are reliant on ubiquitous, value-adding IT solutions that cover their business from sales, to accounting, to operations and HR. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server is the 'glue' that binds this all together. We have recognised this, and are ready for the new wave.”

With a solid team of highly skilled, accomplished and dynamic professionals, IMMIX offers focused SharePoint-based business solutions - delivering value, realising rapid return on investment, and driving business productivity. The team consists of experts in user adoption, corporate governance, technical implementation, advanced development and analysis. This announcement comes one year after adding Microsoft Dynamics NAV to their solution offering, an addition that has already proved to be a great success.

Andre Pearce, CEO of the IMMIX Group, adds that this strategy has been “in the pipeline for some time” and that the addition was “stimulated by clients requesting simple solutions to a range of common business problems for which SharePoint has proved to be a perfect fit”.

Davis adds that the extensive review of the beta release of SharePoint 2010, coupled with Microsoft's supporting documentation, will greatly help his team to be a step ahead. “Microsoft released an unprecedented amount of documentation with the 2007 upgrade of the product and I'm delighted to note that they [Microsoft] have done an even better job with the 2010 release. The wealth of resources available on the Internet and via the Microsoft channels will assist our talented team to meet the various challenges set by our clients' requirements.”

Pienaar is excited about the unique position IMMIX finds themselves in and further notes that existing clients will see immediate benefit: “We are uniquely positioned as a result of our infrastructure, ERP and CRM businesses, which have been world-class for some time. We understand our clients' business in great detail and SharePoint is simply a natural extension to add immediate benefit in the areas of business intelligence and search.”

IMMIX is excited about the enormous potential that SharePoint's suite of technologies has to deliver real, tangible value to their clients. Pienaar believes that IMMIX will quickly differentiate themselves with a unique approach, which he calls “short value-driven feature cycles”. The idea is to deliver SharePoint solutions by incrementally unlocking powerful product features and matching them to business requirements. This approach results in solutions that enhance user adoption, allows for incremental change and lowers the overall risk to the organisation.

He understands that each customer has unique needs, but believes that getting the building blocks right will ensure customer satisfaction, which in turn will yield steady growth and ultimate sustainability. “Enterprise SharePoint deployments are unlike any software service in the industry. It is a journey, one that doesn't take a fixed duration to complete, but rather one that involves partnership with clear and measurable returns.”

Davis has spent the last six months putting together the team and now turns his focus to the positioning of IMMIX to their existing clients: “In the coming months, IMMIX will make every effort to position our SharePoint offering as an added benefit to our existing client base, while exploring new avenues of service delivery in the local and international market.”
