IMPACT Encore, the ERP system from local software house Syspro, has achieved excellent scores against the most prominent standalone accounting packages in a US-based accounting software survey.
The 12th annual CTS Summer 2000 Accounting Software Survey polled CPAs, consultants and end users, asking them to rate accounting software in seven categories: performance; stability; flexibility; customisation; implementation; and vendor support. CTS is a 17-year-old US consultancy which specialises in helping companies to select accounting, manufacturing and other business software.
Meryl Malcomess, marketing director of Syspro South Africa, says the exceptional rankings are particularly impressive as IMPACT Encore's accounting functionality is only one part of the ERP system. "These scores, which placed IMPACT Encore in the top four in Overall Package Ratings, exemplify the high functionality of all aspects of the product - accounting, manufacturing and distribution," she says.
Respondents rated the software on a scale of 1.0 for the poorest to 5.0 for the finest. IMPACT Encore earned a score of 4.62 in Performance Ratings, reflecting its position as one of the premiere accounting solutions in the industry. It also achieved an Overall Package Ratings score of 4.36 out of a possible 5.0.
