Oracle has been named a Leader in a recent independent report: “The Forrester Wave: Records Management, Q2 2009”, Forrester Research, June 2009.
The report notes that Oracle Universal Records Management's “well-rounded offering, integration with its ECM suite and excellent language support make it a compelling option for many enterprises”.
To achieve its position as a Leader, Oracle Universal Records Management was evaluated against 89 criteria in three categories: current offering, strategy and market presence.
According to the report: “Enterprises need consistent records management approaches to grapple with the explosive volume and diversity of content and to meet legal risk mitigation needs.”

“We believe Forrester's recognition of Oracle's position as a leader in records management is a reflection of Oracle Universal Records Management's depth and breadth of functionality as both a standalone records management solution and as the backbone of a federated records management strategy. As a result of its hot-pluggable, out-of-the-box integration with Oracle and third-party applications, Oracle Universal Records Management simplifies deployment, helps accelerate time-to-value and makes it easier to apply records management policies to the broadest range of enterprise content,” said Andy MacMillan, vice-president, Product Management, Oracle.
