Robin Grace, Principal at IndigoCube, has been appointed as one of the inaugural non-executive directors of the South Africa Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA-SA). The IIBA says the appointment of 10 leading practitioners as non-executive directors is part of its drive to build a stronger and more respected profession.
"By incorporating individuals of this calibre into the structure of IIBA-SA we firmly believe that we will be able to drive strategic thinking and innovation for the benefit of the business analysis community," says Ryan Folster, the current President of the chapter.
The IIBA is an independent not-for-profit organisation that aims to advance the business analysis profession by uniting a community of professionals.
Grace says that the appointment of non-executive directors will add a new dimension of governance to the IIBA's South African chapter, and improve its capacity to continue building the profession in this country. "As an organisation that is run by volunteers, the executive board is obviously under enormous pressure. Incorporating more people from the industry will naturally increase the South African chapter's ability to respond to its members' needs and help them serve their business clients more effectively. And, as the corporate world has shown, non-executive directors make the organisation stronger and more resilient. I am honoured to be part of the team."
