Inexpensive printing for India
With a mission to maintain its growth rate in India, HP has decided to undertake a series of strategic initiatives for its imaging and printers business, reports Economic Times.
It plans to roll out newer technologies that lower the total cost of ownership and extend its 'managed services' business model to the entire spectrum of its enterprise segment.
HP India director of the Imaging and Printing Group, Rajkumar Rishi, says the company expects to outpace the market growth, even in 2009.

According to the company, the bizhub C652 and bizhub C552 systems offer seamless connectivity to deliver exceptional performance, high image quality and reliability with a low total cost of ownership.

Kodak selects sales VP
With a focus on delivering the best digital print solutions for customers' current and future success, Kodak has appointed Kevin Joyce as worldwide VP of sales and marketing for the new Digital Printing Solutions Group, reports Packaging Essentials.
Joyce, who also serves as VP of Eastman Kodak Company, most recently was CMO of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.
"From offset printers looking to make their first move into digital printing to print service providers with years of digital experience, our approach focuses on providing customers with solutions for where they stand now and for when their digital business grows to the next level," says Joyce.
