InfoActive and SAS Institute South Africa sign partnership deal SAS Institute and InfoActive have entered into a comprehensive partnership deal to provide professional services for the implementation of SAS Institute's information delivery environment. The deal covers extensive training on the software, certification of consultants and a stringent quality programme.

Niall Walker, business development manager at SAS Institute, says that because of the rigorous entry requirements to their partnership programme, only companies with the highest standards and levels of skill are considered. "InfoActive is such a company, with the requisite skills to meet our stringent criteria for excellence in service and delivery," he says. He points out that SAS customers are now assured of the best IT resources in the installation and running of new projects.

SAS Institute Key in

Andre Esterhuyzen, managing director of InfoActive says "InfoActive sees SAS Institute software as a key technology in the Business Intelligence environment. During our long relationship with SAS Institute we have successfully implemented many Business Intelligence projects ranging from full warehouses to web-based balanced scorecarding initiatives.

"We also supply and support Futrix, a SAS-based OLAP tool that fills the market niche for a pre-packaged portal solution allowing users to analyse and explore their data within hours of installing it," he adds.

Esterhuyzen goes on to explain that, in addition to their well-established SAS implementation arm, InfoActive has started two strategic business units that will concentrate on the distribution and implementation of SAS CFO Vision, a financial services management solution, and SAS IT Service Vision (ITSV). ITSV provides IT managers with a comprehensive view of the state of all their systems across different platforms.

InfoActive Provides Skilled Personnel

"We have recruited personnel highly skilled in financial management and we also have extensive technical expertise in the IT service management arena, so it's logical also to focus on the implementation of the ITSV and CFO Vision solutions " he says. The distribution will be done in conjunction with SAS Institute South Africa.

"These strategic business units will complement our existing business intelligence focus and add weight to our presence in the market," he explains.

One of the key advantages of the partnership is that through these proposed joint initiatives the clients will see a unified, professional team able to identify their needs, recommend and implement software that addresses their requirements.

"We can provide a combined team to implement and support whatever solution is appropriate. This adds value to the offering made by both SAS Institute and ourselves," concludes Esterhuyzen.
