InfoLogix talks ID tech
InfoLogix president and CEO David Gulian will present on the predictive value of identification technology at the upcoming ID World International Congress, in Milan, reports More RFID.
The presentation will touch on how both commercial and healthcare organisations can harness the data behind each ID event to capture actionable business intelligence (BI) and proactively model resource needs.
Gulian's presentation, part of a session entitled: "Towards Ubiquitous Intelligence", will take place on 18 November.
Business Objects upgrades BI
Business Objects has released BusinessObjects XI 3.1, which it says is the industry's first unified BI platform, reports Sap.info.
The platform integrates many data sources, including Oracle enterprise applications and databases, and caters to the needs of companies that work with heterogeneous IT landscapes.
Using many different BI functions, information can be analysed quickly and intelligently, and also integrated directly with business processes.
Meijer selects QuantiSense
Meijer is to deploy QuantiSense's retail-specific BI and data warehousing application, states Business Wire.
Meijer also chose QuantiSense for a consulting engagement entitled: “Developing Your Playbook”, a set of predefined analytic paths that help retailers quickly and easily take advantage of opportunities and correct recurring problems.
Meijer, ranked number 28 on the 2008 Stores Top 100 Retailers list, is one of the largest privately held retailers in the US.
