Infor delivers real-time event management CRM software for retailers

Infor has announced the latest version of its outbound marketing solution, Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1, with retail-specific enhancements.

Distributed in sub-Saharan Africa by Softworx, this latest version enables retailers to rapidly deploy event-based campaigns that measurably increase sales and customer loyalty.

Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1 has several new features that increase the effectiveness of outbound marketing campaigns, including the ability to schedule progressive campaigns.

For event-based marketing to be successful, a campaign must generate an offer when the customer is most receptive to receiving it. An event can be anything from a customer abandoning their online shopping cart to a series of dropped cellphone calls in a short period of time.

Many traditional CRM tools are not able to synchronise, in real-time, information between the customer database and the event management system to benefit from the marketing opportunities generated by events. These missed opportunities cost retailers millions in lost sales annually.

The latest version of Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing generates real-time, event-triggered offers that support campaign goals by integrating the data between the outbound marketing and event management systems. This advanced functionality places a retailer's message in front of the customer at a time when they are most motivated to act.

Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1 also provides functionality to execute portions of a campaign at different times, which is especially important for multi-wave and multi-channel campaigns where timing is critical to maximise customer interaction over the life of the campaign.

Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1 migrates e-mail marketing to a Java-based architecture and includes several new features such as SMTP pipelining, SMTP authentication, SPF and Sender-ID support, domain keys, multi-tenancy, incoming e-mail rules, and more.

Additional new functionality in Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1 includes:

* The ability to identify which customer interactions must execute successfully before the current interaction can by implemented (ie, a direct mail piece followed by an e-mail).
* Detailed reporting of statistical metrics for each customer segment to determine campaign effectiveness.
* Enhanced reusability of components, such as segments and treatments, for faster campaign creation and improved efficiency.
* Configuring of dependencies between queues to prevent incomplete data from being loaded into the database.

Infor CRM Epiphany Outbound Marketing 7.1 provides marketers the ability to easily schedule and track campaigns across multiple channels, and execute both campaigns and reports at a specific time. Campaigns and reports are no longer dependent upon when the system is set to look for new items. This provides more flexibility and is critical for campaigns that allow for automatic fulfilment, such as e-mail and SMS.
