Paris Technologies, represented locally by Infor SA, has released PowerOLAP, a decision support tool that can be used to support the business operating systems of both large and emerging organisations.
According to US-based Paris Technologies, PowerOLAP is the first OLAP product to provide a seamless data exchange between relational and multidimensional databases and deliver reporting through the most familiar front end, the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
Bernadine le Clus, product manager at Infor SA, says the product improves the efficiency and process of data management within an organisation, making use of a multidimensional database that enables end-users to create their own data relationship models.
According to Infor SA MD Jurgen Laakmann, 15 local customers, mainly in the manufacturing arena, are already using the product. The company aims to eventually introduce PowerOLAP to other overseas markets.
