Informix delivers content management system

Informix has released Media360, a content management solution designed to help businesses all types of throughout the Internet-enabled enterprise.

Media360 addresses the need among Internet-driven organisations to digitise and manage video, audio and text. It creates a central, corporate repository of media that is accessible throughout an organisation via the Web.

According to market analyst Gistics` Media Asset Management Report 1999, the content management market reached $654 million in 1998 and will continue to grow to $3.2 billion by the year 2002.

"Many types of corporations have massive multimedia collections that require a sophisticated management system," says Philip Russom, director, data warehousing and business intelligence for the Hurwitz Group.
