Infosys BPO seeks acquisitions
Deal Curry writes.
The company is looking to go through inorganic routes to expand its service offerings. Recently, the company acquired Australia-based sourcing and category management services firm - Portland Group for $37 million.
Infosys BPO was started as Progeon Limited in April 2002. It was started as a 74:26 joint venture between Infosys and Citibank Investments. The company provides business process management (BPM) services to organisations outsourcing their business processes.
The BPO arm of Infosys is confident of achieving its guidance despite the cross-currency volatility, Times of India states.
The currency movement has been supportive of margins despite headwind from currency fluctuations. The management is likely to announce a wage hike, which was due in the June quarter of the current financial year.
The management is upbeat about the firm outpacing the overall growth (of 8% to 10%) in the current financial year.
