JSE-listed Infowave has sweetened its figures for the interim period, benefiting from annuity-based income, specifically from KwaZulu-Natal`s sugar industry.
Infowave`s attributable profit for the six months to August has grown from R184 000 to R2.1 million, and headline earnings have increased from 0.84c to 2.73c per share.
Turnover grew 32% from R10.9 million to R14.5 million, and management points out that operating margins also enjoyed a healthy growth from 9% to 21%
Infowave is involved in building and integrating customised application software as well as technical support to the sugar industry in KwaZulu-Natal, but management says it recently won new business elsewhere in SA as well as Tanzania.
The company is also looking forward to annuity-based income from its Web-based Tranquillity suit, which it has rolled out to 16 sites in Southern Africa.
As to the future, the company says it plans to continue its organic growth, but is looking for an international partner to acquire a significant equity stake in Infowave.
