Ingres extends deal with Alfresco

Ingres has strengthened its agreement with Alfresco by using the open source content management company as a for its new Icebreaker enterprise content management (ECM) appliance, says Network World.

The two companies already have an existing agreement, but the new deal will mean the appliance users would have access to the Alfresco 3 platform instead of the previous version.

David Postle, head of the ECM consulting practice for Ingres, says: "Primarily, it offers a means by which users of Microsoft products such as Excel could be made to think they're talking to Sharepoint, rather than to Alfresco”.

Flypaper with Cozimo

Flypaper Studio, creator of the Flash content management platform, has signed a partnership with Web application developer, Cozimo Technologies, reports Business Wire.

This partnership gives Flypaper users access to Cozimo's advanced collaboration tools as part of their Flypaper licence.

“Flypaper knows the content development world better than most in this space and has always recognised the importance and value of collaboration to the enterprise workflow,” says Stuart Feldman, president of Cozimo, “There is an obvious synergy between our products and we're excited to have our tools included as an integral part of this exceptional solution.”
