Inkless prints by Dell
Dell is releasing a new range of inkless printers aimed at the mobile user, reports iTnews.
The Dell WASABI PZ310 mobile printer, from third-party supplier Zink, uses paper that has been embedded with yellow, magenta, and cyan dye crystals.
The colours are then activated by heating millions of tiny thermal probes on specific sections of the paper to create images.
Kodak expands colour range
Three new Kodak approval packaging colour donors enable users to achieve more accurate spot, corporate, and brand colours in a wide range of packaging applications, according to webwire.
Developed by Kodak's graphic communications group to expand the colour gamut of Kodak approval digital colour imaging systems, the new donors aim to deliver the results packaging professionals demand.
Used to create package design proofs and 3D mock-ups identical in appearance to the final product on the shelf, the new donors can enhance productivity by reducing the number of colour donor imaging passes or roll changes.
New Oce goes large
The Oce Arizona family of digital flatbed printers has expanded again with the introduction of the Oce Arizona 350 XT printer with a significantly enlarged flatbed table, according to PR Newswire.
This latest model in the Oce Arizona family is capable of producing rigid prints as large as 98.4- by 120-inches.
The extra width of the Oce Arizona 350 XT printer enables it to be used in a continuous imaging mode for rigid media up to 49.2- by 98.4-inches, or a standard 4- by 8-foot board.
