Innovation keeps Liquid Thought on top

Johannesburg, 26 Nov 2004

Dynamic young IT solutions company, Liquid Thought, has won inclusion in the 2004 edition of "South Africa's Most Promising Companies", launched earlier this week. The annual publication is researched and produced by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF).

Liquid Thought was awarded a place in the book as one of the most promising entrepreneurial companies. Last year, it was featured in the "Top ICT Companies in SA" publication.

Founded in June 2001 as a black-owned company, Liquid Thought is one of the successful "incubator" companies to emerge from Cape Town's UUNET Bandwidth Barn. It offers multi-platform technology solutions that help clients to leverage and optimise their IT investment. The company's slogan "innovate, evolve, accelerate" encapsulates Liquid Thought's ethos and informs its service delivery to clients.

Emile Wagner, ex-president of Brightest Young Minds, the company that designed the criteria for inclusion in SA's Most Promising Companies, says: "We selected the companies based on their vision, leadership abilities, past success track record, their strategic partnerships, as well as their sense, understanding and implementation of corporate citizenship."

Liquid Thought was among the companies chosen from a group of about 100 entries.

Ayesha Agherdien, who evaluated Liquid Thought, says: "The company is staffed by skilled and talented young people. We know that motivation and belief come from the top and Zulfiq Isaacs is the type of director who inspires confidence. He has a 10-year vision and he has managed to implement his plan year-on-year. In terms of Liquid Thought's strategic partnerships, they have proven that big companies such as Microsoft and Accenture have faith in them by coming on board as partners. Because of good management, the company has been able to diversify and offer its clients a variety of solutions without diluting its core business. It's an impressive company."

Isaacs, 26, founder and MD of Liquid Thought, ascribes the company's success to paying close and constant attention to its clients' businesses by identifying ways of extending the market reach of its services, and improving channels of customer service delivery via the Web.

"We specialise in multi-tier cross-platform Web-based applications that are rich in functionality and are aesthetically pleasing in presentation. From content managed corporate Web sites to corporate intranets and knowledge portals, we provide turnkey solutions on the Web that empower organisations and their people to communicate and collaborate more effectively both internally and with their clients."
