Net services software provider Novell has appointed Inobits Consulting as its first Business Expert System Integrator (BSI), the highest level of accreditation within Novell`s PartnerNet 2002 programme.
"BSIs are the preferred co-engagement partners for Novell Consulting and are selected on their revenue performance, strategic fit with Novell and the value they bring to the Novell customer, explains Novell business market manager Manoj Bhoola.
"All BSIs must incorporate a dedicated Novell division within their company, which includes Novell associate engineers. Additionally, BSIs must have a proven track record in cross-platform networking and system management, (meta) directory, enterprise application integration, (e)Provisioning, security and access, portal solutions and/or storage and messaging."
Inobits provides and advises on innovative business and IT solutions to a multinational customer base. The company specialises in infrastructure architecting, training and research, software architecting and custom software development.
"Besides the fact that Inobits` business model perfectly complements our own, they boast a remarkable success rate for a company established only three years ago," says Bhoola. "Their consulting services revenue equates to a company that has been in business twice as long. This rampant aggression in the market is exactly what we demand from a BSI."
"Because they focus on selling solutions around the integration of Novell as well as other vendor products and solutions, as a BSIs Inobits will not compete with our Business Experts (BE) in the sale of licences," he continues. "However, they can be used by BE resellers to employ their solutions in a professional, project managed manner."
"As a Novell BSI we focus on business case definition, designing and testing the solution, proof of concept thereof, pilot testing and then knowledge transfer to the partner or customer for final deployment," says Inobits services director Marius Agenbag. "As one of few vendors active in the e-provisioning space Novell has defined a new set of tools and solutions which enables us to deliver solutions immediately, without having to reinvent the wheel or develop software and ad hoc pieces to make them work. This will prove extremely valuable in our relationship."
