Inova selects e-BuilderPM software

Inova Health Systems has chosen e-Builder Enterprise 7 as its standard capital programme and project management system, writes TMCnet.

E-Builder will be used to manage project costs, schedules and construction processes. Inova anticipates at least a 1.2% savings across Inova's upcoming six-year, $850 million capital programme.

Inova underwent a thorough review and selection process before choosing e-Builder Enterprise. They chose e-Builder because of its modular structure and fast deployment capabilities resulting in the lowest risk and highest and best value for Inova.

Meridian gets additional GSA contract

Meridian Systems, a technology solutions company for project-based organisations, says it was awarded an additional contract by the US General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service (PBS), reports Reuters.

This is to address new requirements as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and to accelerate field training and deployment of the electronic project management (ePM) solution that is built upon Proliance software from Meridian Systems.

ePM is a critical solution for the GSA to manage new facility construction and renovations of existing government buildings, including court houses and border control stations. The GSA originally selected Proliance in 2008, recently completed its pilot phase and is moving ahead to roll out the system to more than 3 200 users.

PlanningForce 2.2 now available

PlanningForce 2.2, which contains usability enhancements and many new features, has been unveiled, states Live PR.

PlanningForce is a project management software program developed with the aim of solving project planning problems.

Project managers and decision-makers have to optimise their project plans, while managing several complex projects concurrently, respecting delivery dates and, at the same time, reducing resource costs. As a consequence, the decisions taken based on the construction and interpretation of the plans will have crucial consequences, for the projects themselves, for the people involved and for profits.
