Insys and Epicor secure central consolidation for the Midrand Campus Group

Insys a software implementation specialist company recently installed two of Epicor`s Platinum ERA financial applications for the Midrand Campus Group. The success of the Platinum ERA system enables all twelve divisions of the Group to centrally consolidate their financial systems while reducing administration and auditing costs. Charmaine Limerick, the Campus` Financial Director, chose Insys to be their implementation partner based on their excellent track record and experience with implementing Platinum ERA solutions. The first phase required Insys to have the system in place for at least nine of the divisions within an eight-week period. The project finally culminated in a successful implementation one week prior to its deadline.

"Even though Insys cautioned the Group of the tight deadline we had set, they appreciated the urgency and were committed all the way to meeting that deadline. Insys`s professionalism, efficiency and technical skills displayed throughout the project have left the Midrand Campus Group with a valuable core financial system on which we can build," said Limerick.

The first phase of the project was initiated early in July and comprised the installation of the Accounts Payable and General Ledger applications, with Platinum ERA`s Purchasing application to be implemented at a later stage. With the Accounts Payable application, the Group`s staff are able to manage vendor relations through updated records, which include credit availability, preferred payment methods, multiple remit-to locations and contact information. This process allows staff to access any necessary information in order to manage their payables at the touch of a button. The application also offers a wide range of payment options to the Group that allows them to pro-actively manage their cash position, easily adjusting and maintaining tight control and precise audit trails, while creating approval processes as simple or as complex as the user requires.

The highly flexible, user-friendly, General Ledger application is one of Epicor`s core accounting tools in the Platinum ERA Financial Suite, allowing the user to build the system to accommodate specific business requirements. User-definable options capable of setting-up an unlimited number of companies, account codes and up to 365 fiscal periods are all incorporated in this award-winning suite. The advanced functionality of the financial suite offers comprehensive inter-company and advanced multi-currency capabilities.

The Midrand Campus Group specifically chose Insys because of their premium Epicor product range that was able to fulfil their necessary requirements.
