Management at Integr8 IS (Pty) Ltd, a developer of custom ICT solutions, the latest being Preserv8 - the only e-mail archiving software plus services Microsoft certified solution, has acquired much-needed Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) certified developers skills sets to meet a growing demand in the market.
The company has boosted its differential quality and competitive advantage by reinforcing its intellectual capital with coveted certifications, from a configuration, development and integration point of view.
In addition, the company has aligned itself to key role players, technology suppliers and relevant operators in this space, thereby increasing its exposure to the latest available infrastructure.
"We have entered into a partnership with K2, a division of SourceCode Technology Holdings, to develop and support K2 blackpearl, which is a powerful workflow engine integrated to SharePoint. Furthermore, we have been involved with Moss 2007 and K2 blackpearl since its launch, thus adding to our experience and knowledge of the market," says Brian Brougham-Cook, Business Development Director at Integr8 IS.
Brougham-Cook says there is a very definite shortage of MOSS and K2 integration skills in the market, specifically those geared towards business analysis, development and configuration.
"Technical staff with these skills sets add measurable value to the organisation by assisting clients, as well as the company itself, in the roll-out of SharePoint and to extract maximum benefit from the MOSS platform," adds Brougham-Cook. "This equips businesses with the expertise to expand their offerings and strategically leverage off an existing investment in Microsoft Office and other Microsoft applications. This is why these skills remain sought-after."
According to Brougham-Cook, this latest development will solidify the company's strategy and align it with the current focus by Microsoft on SharePoint.
"This will open an additional market space to us and move us into the new type of development environment built on platform technologies. This move is aligned with our software plus services strategy and will assist us in developing in this manner. We now not only have top development resource with regards to .Net and C#, but also now have the ability to take this to the next level and use SharePoint to rapidly deploy applications to customers on the SharePoint platform," he adds.
Deon Robertson, CEO, adds: "We are constantly reviewing the strategic horizon to up-skill our teams in the right direction, ensuring our customers are able to leverage the latest ICTs to enhance their commercial advantage. We are confident about the future in this country and will continue strong inward investment in our national team."
