National network integration and infrastructure support specialist Integr8 IT has added its name to a growing list of new SAVANT members. Companies have taken advantage of the listing opportunity to join the information and communications technology and electronics (ICTE) marketing and promotion initiative.
SAVANT has been positioned as the vanguard of South African ICTE. The core function of the campaign is to highlight innovation within this growing sector and generate global awareness of local product, services and solutions.
Sar'e Grobler, project manager: ICT and Electronics division, Trade and Investment South Africa, the DTI, says the statistics show a definite increase in attention and, since SAVANT went public with the free listing offer, there is a steady flow of daily online registration applications.
"We continue to monitor the progress of our online applications. A company essentially has an opportunity to advertise its services and most applicants are aware of the business advantages of being listed. The membership facility is user-friendly and is an effective mechanism to advertise the member. A key feature is that our members can edit the listing at any given time and the facility is updated continuously to ensure that information is never stale," says Grobler.
Integr8 IT director Robert Sussman says the company sees value in its participation, particularly from the point of view of an investment in infrastructure development.
"SAVANT is a comprehensive campaign to put SA on the global map as far as ICTE growth is concerned.
