The Organ Donor Foundation, a charity whose aim is increase the number of organs donated and to improve donor identification and organ retrieval programmes, has received a major boost to its ICT infrastructure and overall capability courtesy of Integr8 IT.
As a national specialist in network integration and infrastructure management, positioned as the IT arm of its clientele, Integr8 IT has followed through on its corporate responsibility programme by replacing the foundation`s ICT set-up with a donation of complete network infrastructure, including hardware and software.
"We have completed a roll-out of network infrastructure. This will allow the organisation to access their Web-based database without hassle and they can also leverage off high-speed connectivity," says Patrick Schneider, account manager and solutions consultant at Integr8 IT.
Integr8 IT also supplied D8Tavault, a comprehensive on-site or off-site encrypted data warehousing managed service that guarantees data security.
"Investing in D8Tavault means critical data synchronisation to a secure data vault, online and offsite protection, a reduction in support costs and immediate, 24/7 access," adds Schneider.
"On average we receive between 20 and 30 queries per day from members of the public who would like to register as organ donors and be added to our database," says Lewis Gordon Pugh, a Director at the Organ Donor Foundation. "With this volume of data transfer and information management, we require a robust, reliable infrastructure and connectivity. Integr8 IT has really performed beyond expectation and made a substantial contribution towards our capability and overall business performance."
