National network integration and infrastructure support specialist Integr8 IT was named Mid-market Infrastructure Integrator of 2003 at the annual Microsoft Africa Partner Summit, held recently at Sun City. The company became the first in its field to receive the award for two consecutive years.
Integr8 IT was nominated for three of the 10 awards presented by Microsoft, including the Licensing Compliance Advocate of the Year 2003 and Gold Partner of the Year 2003.
Viresh Chota, Partner Manager at Microsoft SA, comments: "The Mid-market Infrastructure Integrator Award is presented to companies that excel within this space. Microsoft takes into consideration the percentage of growth over the previous year, overall customer response to a nominee as well as case studies that are introduced within this specific area of the market. Microsoft presents this award to a partner that it recognises as being committed to ensuring that their staff are skilled on relevant and up to date technologies.
"Integr8 IT met all the criteria and this achievement serves to reinforce the company`s brand and offering, and confirms its reputation as being one of the best in its field says," Chota.
Managing directors Lance Fanaroff and Robert Sussman are very pleased with the recognition and put the win down to providing the IT market with best of breed international practices and its internal skills transfer programme.
"This achievement is a direct reflection of our commitment, strategy and focus. From the outset our goal has been to partner with the best and, through these partnerships, provide our client base with true value, reliable service and effective delivery. As Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, we are in a solid position to leverage off development and innovation within product and technology. Everyone puts in as much as possible to ensure that relationships are carefully maintained," says Fanaroff.
Sussman adds: "From an IT infrastructure perspective, the ICT sector continues to grow. Businesses that choose to outsource connectivity and infrastructure management want to partner with a company that is able to provide effective service levels. Down time for any sized business means a loss of time and money. The brand identification of a Microsoft Gold Partner is a powerful differentiator to customers who are uncertain of the skills and expertise that integrators have to offer when competing for projects. With the added access to advanced technical support and training from Microsoft, the company is well placed to compete with the very best in the high end of the market."
"The message that we have consistently sent out is one based on proven expertise, up-to-date knowledge and experience. It is for this reason that we place such a high premium on skills development and retention. This award is confirmation that we are on the right track as far as strategy is concerned. The infrastructure and connectivity market is a space that remains, for the most part, a largely untapped resource in Africa. Our intention is to strengthen our position further in order to capture more of the available market," concludes Sussman.
