Local network integration and infrastructure management specialist, Integr8 IT, has again been put forward for `ICT Workplace Provider of the Year` according to the organisers of the Forge Ahead African ICT Achievers Awards 2006, for the third consecutive year.
Organisers are already on the search across Africa for prospective winners of the coveted awards, affectionately known as the `Oscars` of the local ICT industry.
Integr8 IT found itself among the front-runners of the competition last year after it became the only company on the continent to be represented as a finalist in three categories at the awards, organised through ForgeAhead in conjunction with the Department of Communications.
In the same year, Robert Sussman, joint managing director of Integr8 IT, was selected as Top Private CIO of the Year 2005 for Africa and joined the ranks of previous winners at the competition, including CIO of Old Mutual in 2004 and CIO of Telkom in 2003.
Sussman was selected based on the significant contribution and innovative technological brilliance towards the growth and development of Integr8 IT and ICT within South Africa and Africa. Integr8 IT`s position was noted as exceptional and at the top of the sector, remarkable for a company entering into its sixth year of delivering tangible business value through the alignment of business and IT.
In 2006 the Top ICT Workplace Provider award serves to recognise a company that, through its employee-centric nature, has created a loyal employee base and demonstrates the prestige nature of being a part of the company.
