The Integr8 Group's Project Management Office services team has played an instrumental role in ensuring uptime and reliable connectivity during a move by Expresso head office, the company behind Top Billing, a renowned local broadcasting and media company.
The team of technical experts from the Integr8 Project Management Office was approached to plan and manage the entire ICT infrastructure during a move of Expresso's core operational centre and live broadcasting studio.
This hi-tech project involved the integration of core infrastructure architecture and the deployment of a solid and scalable network in order to safeguard fast, reliable connectivity.
Upon agreement, Integr8's Project Office Services integrated core networking services including cabling, fully redundant triangulated Internet connectivity links and a PBX unified messaging system.
“We have rolled out the entire network with CAT6 cabling to ensure that our client has the fastest local area network available. This cabling infrastructure provides full gigabit backbone capability,” says Robert Sussman, joint CEO, Integr8.
The infrastructure and services are a critical component of Expresso operational strategy, particularly in terms of its external communication capability.
“Internet connectivity via the cloud ensures that programme representatives gain live flight information directly from ACSA,” he continues.
Integr8 is in the process of deploying a multitude of PBX unified communication platforms, with VOIP-enabled capability, for Expresso's back office, and another for viewers to call into the show.
According to spokespersons for Expresso, the decision to go with Integr8 was based primarily on the service provider's track record and proven expertise within managed ICT services, especially within the virtual or cloud-based environment.
