The Integr8 Group's Fax to Fax Unplugged service is rebranding as part of the company's global expansion plans.
Integr8 Fax develops cloud-based technologies around paper to electronic-based unified communications, with fax-to-e-mail as one of its core offerings.
According to Robert Sussman, joint CEO of Integr8, Fax Unplugged offers the same service that the company's fax-to-e-mail offering does, with the only difference being that it is now managed under a different brand.
According to Integr8, all communication through the fax servers is recorded via an advanced algorithm, which allows for archiving and indexing according to the SA Electronic Communications and Transactions (ECT) Act or regulatory compliance in the respective countries.
The company also believes there is an opportunity and growing requirement for such technology and support within the government sector.
Fax Unplugged COO Ashleigh Whitfield adds that, although it is difficult to accurately quantify the size of the South African market, "there is said to be in the region of almost 13 million e-mail users in SA alone.
"There is definitely growth within the international fax-to-e-mail market and an increase in awareness and interest in this technology on the domestic front.
"This growth is being driven by the advantages this system offers users, including the fact that there is no limit on the number of faxes that can be received, as well as the speed of operation and cost saving due to the automated process that is involved," Whitfield concludes.
