Integrear Indicium supplies solution in Worcester

Johannesburg, 25 Mar 2004

Because of the enormous burden placed on the service delivery of municipalities due to the non-payment of municipal accounts, Integrear Indicium developed the Zeus Credit Management System for Municipalities.

This system, developed specifically for the municipal market, was the result of an in-depth understanding of municipal practices and is based on national white papers and guidelines.

The Worcester municipality has recently joined the group of municipalities in SA using and benefiting from this system. With the installation of this workflow-based product, it expects, as with other municipalities, to also reduce its debtors in arrears in a short space of time.

Hercules Dreyer, Director of Integrear Indicium, points out: "The Zeus System goes far beyond simply collecting outstanding debt; it is a comprehensive system with many benefits, some of which include control and reporting on contractors, monitoring indigent consumers, measuring staff productivity and providing a comprehensive legal process with the necessary legal documentation."

The main challenges that face municipalities are to recover debt at the lowest possible cost, to ensure the efficient management of accounts in arrears, to monitor all arrangements made and to ensure the careful management of indigent accounts.

According to Dreyer: "With the Zeus Credit Management System, municipalities will be assisted in overcoming these challenges and will operate much more effectively."
