Intel has outlined its plans for the Intel e-Business Network in Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA), a worldwide initiative that will unify the company`s sales channel programmes while adding partnering, certification, training and business development benefits.
This initiative will enable more rapid development and deployment of e-business solutions in EMEA through Intel`s 15 000 sales channel partners and its 50 000-strong worldwide channel.
"Intel`s e-Business Network will enable both Intel and its channel partners to capitalise on new opportunities as companies retool their operations to become e-businesses," says Tom Kilroy, GM of Intel`s Reseller Channel Operation. "As e-commerce has evolved, the importance of service providers and Web integrators has increased, and Intel has expanded and aligned its channel programmes that support them."
The Intel e-Business Network will combine Intel`s present channel programmes, which include system builders, product dealers, networking consultants, Internet service providers and Web integrators, into one connected network, allowing them to partner with each other on e-business implementations.
Intel is also introducing a new e-business certification programme, which will be available to members of the Intel e-Business Network, as well as to IT professionals.
One of the keys to the programme is the Intel Business Market Place, a Web-based service that will enable members of the Intel e-Business Network to partner with each other.
