
Intel expands partner programme to Egypt
The Intel Software Partner Programme is now in Egypt and aims to focus on areas such as business application development and deployment, collaborative solutions, enterprise resource management, financial services, gaming and healthcare information management, reports Zawya.
Open to independent software vendors and any software company developing commercial applications for Intel platforms and technologies, the programme is free of charge and offers a portfolio of planning, technical, marketing and sales resources specially designed to facilitate a member's ability to grow its business, reach new customers and stay on top of the latest software development, marketing and competitive trends.
The Intel Software Partner Programme facilitates members to align their product development work directly with a range of Intel's platform technologies such as Intel Core 2 processor-based systems and Intel Atom processor technology-based mobile Internet devices.
Adaptive Planning joins NetSuite
Adaptive Planning, a provider of on-demand financial planning and reporting solutions, has become a charter member of NetSuite's SuiteCloud Developer Network, a programme for commercial software developers that enables them to quickly go to market with business applications, says msnbc.
As part of this programme, Adaptive Planning and NetSuite plan to work together to develop enhanced integration between their respective applications and to jointly market an innovative solution for real-time financial management ideal for the current economy.
NetSuite provides an on-demand, integrated business software suite for enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and e-commerce. Through the SuiteCloud Developer Network, the two companies plan to work together to enhance and automate the existing integration between the applications.
iPhone releases over 1 000 applications
Apple has introduced its new iPhone OS 3.0, which now includes application programming interface (API) with more than 1 000 new applications for sale through its application store, states Channel Web.
Scott Forstall, senior vice-president of iPhone software, said Apple is now providing developers more than 1 000 new APIs for developing new applications.
Forstall says it is great for business applications such as passing business leads. Such applications do not need a network to connect, but instead work wirelessly through Bluetooth.
