Intelleca, a division of Bytes Technology Group and South Africa's fastest growing call centre specialist, has partnered with Nasdaq-listed AudioCodes, a leading provider of voice over IP (VOIP) technologies and voice network products, to deploy AudioCodes' Mediant 8000 Media Gateway in conjunction with Genesys's VoiceGenie system for contact centres into a tier one South African network operator.
The Mediant 8000 Media Gateway bridges the gap between the IP and TDM networks, allowing centralised SIP-based IVR to service all calls initiated in the operator's nationwide switching centres.
The combination of VOIP media gateways and the VoiceGenie call centre solution gives the operator the ability to introduce a cost-effective SIP-based IVR service for its broad spectrum of contact centres. This deployment is a step forward in the transition from a legacy network to VOIP.
"We are proud to partner with AudioCodes and facilitate the deployment of their Mediant Media Gateways into a tier one operator," says Shaun Cochrane, director at Intelleca. "AudioCodes' unique product quality and reliability coupled with a quick and easy integration process, has confirmed our choice of partner."
"We are pleased that together with Intelleca we were able to begin the process of providing a fully integrated call centre solution for a tier one operator," says Yehuda Herscovici, Vice-President of Systems at AudioCodes. "We were impressed with Intelleca's expertise during the integration process and look forward to further alliances with them in the future."
