Local VoiceGenie Technologies distributor Intelleca has made a significant contribution to the record revenue run registered by VoiceGenie. Last week VoiceGenie announced record sales and profitability growth, including a 76% increase in year-to-date sales over last year and a 113% increase over the corresponding quarter in 2004.
Globally VoiceGenie solutions successfully manage over five million IVR calls daily, many of which use speech recognition for caller interaction. Local successes include Standard Bank, MultiChoice, The Foschini Group and iTalk Cellular.
VoiceGenie has now achieved significant quarter-over-quarter growth in software licence revenue for the past five consecutive quarters. Revenues in the third quarter just completed represent the largest in the company`s history, compared with revenue declines at many of VoiceGenie`s competitors.
This sales growth is particularly significant since it shows VoiceGenie`s broad customer base, both geographically and by multiple industry segments, including financial, telecom, media and hospitality.
"VoiceGenie`s increased revenue indicates a pervasive shift in customer buying preference to VoiceGenie`s next-generation IVR platform from legacy competitors. In 2006 we intend to aggressively increase market share," says Thomas Charlton, president and CEO of VoiceGenie Technologies.
The demand is mirrored in South Africa, according to Michael Renzon, MD of Intelleca, which distributes, deploys and supports VoiceGenie Technologies in South Africa. "Speech-based self-service automation services and open standards are behind the exceptional demand we are seeing for the VoiceGenie platform in the South African market. As it is the world`s leading VoiceXML-based speech platform, we expect to see continued strong local demand for VoiceGenie`s IVR platform. It is exciting to see demand for speech-based platforms extend beyond the financial services and telco industries into other sectors such as entertainment and retail."
"VoiceGenie is taking advantage of our tremendous global market opportunities," says Frank Tersigni, VP of marketing and business development at VoiceGenie Technologies. "We intend to further expand our international sales by leveraging our existing network as well as through the addition of several new strategic partners. We remain committed to the VoiceGenie tradition of delivering the highest quality next-generation IVR platform, services and support on a worldwide basis."
