Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories named Intelleca as its EMEA African Partner of the Year for 2007 at its recent annual user conference in Berlin.
Eleven companies in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) were honoured as 2007 Partners of the Year, for their respective regions. Awards are based on partner growth initiatives and how well partners take advantage of opportunities for collaboration with Genesys during the previous year.
Intelleca joined such companies as Accenture, BT, Siemens, and Telefonica Solutions in earning regional honours.
Genesys noted: "The winners invested a significant amount of resources toward joint customer service solutions, including working on joint planning and execution with Genesys to influence revenue. In addition, each award-winner aligned its strategies with Genesys to deliver comprehensive and dynamic contact centre solutions that integrate seamlessly and provide a high level of end-user customer satisfaction."
This is the second year running that Intelleca has received Genesys honours, having been awarded Genesys EMEA New Business Partner of the Year 2006 last year. The back-to-back awards recognise the company's proven ability to create and extend markets.
"We are delighted to be acknowledged by Genesys as their leading partner in Africa," says Mike Renzon, CEO of Intelleca. "Our focus has always been on delivering innovative solutions for our customers, underpinned by technical breadth and excellence. It is therefore rewarding to be acknowledged by the world's number one contact centre software company for our market share growth and solution delivery. We expect to exceed last year's performance in 2008 as our Genesys customer base in South Africa grows."
Intelleca has won many accolades, among them:
* Frost & Sullivan named Intelleca South African IP services leader for 2007;
* The Gauteng and National Technical Innovation Awards at the 2007 BPO Awards;
* Nuance Partner of the Year for 2007; and
* Two finalist berths in the 2006 Technology Top 100 awards.
"The Genesys Partner Programme provides a framework for partners to leverage our technology leadership in order to increase their own market share and value," says Paul Segre, president and CEO, Genesys. "Each of our winners this year clearly went above and beyond to motivate the market to adopt new ideas, facilitate joint technology offerings with Genesys and develop integrated solutions for the marketplace."
"Intelleca has opened new markets and new strategic accounts," says Mark Payne, director African operations, Genesys. "They have introduced Genesys into accounts we have not had access to before, accounts aligned with their traditional speech technology business."
Payne says he fully expects Intelleca to exceed this year's successes, based on revenue targets achieved and forecasts for 2008.
