Intenda, a local software development and consultancy organisation, today announced it has partnered with LogiXML to drive the adoption of LogiXML's Web-based technology in the local market.
Intenda brings extensive business intelligence (BI) product and market knowledge to LogiXML's international growth programme.
According to Intenda director Herman Fick, Intenda has vast experience in the area of business intelligence, having previously worked with products like Cognos and Crystal Reports. "We saw a fantastic opportunity to introduce an alternative product set to the local market.
"LogiXML had so much promise that we saw it as a formula for mutual success and therefore secured a distribution, training and support relationship with the company."
Intenda is highly recognised in the market, particularly in the contract management discipline that addresses the inbound supply chain, with a specific approach towards strategic sourcing, tendering, contract management and procurement. These disciplined concepts are all brought to market by the unique Intenda Solution Suite (ISS), architected to bring automation, cost reduction and corporate governance to the procurement enterprise.
"Intenda needed to add a true Web-based BI product set to this mix to meet the needs of many of its customers. We required a cost-effective product that offered the full range of features. Frankly, we were looking for an alternative to Crystal Reports," says Fick. "We first came across LogiXML by undertaking a Web search to determine whether there were any existing products out there that met our criteria. After a very short time it was clear that LGX Info and LGX Ad Hoc fitted our unique business needs like a glove."
Intenda extends its services to meet the full range of IT needs including BI, spend analysis, data cleansing, supplier management, strategic sourcing, tendering, quotations, contract management and holistic enterprise contract management.
