The story of Kurauone Muzhinji, who is more informally known to his friends as Liberty, continues to reap success at Inter-Active Technologies - as the company maintains its longstanding investment in its most valuable asset, its people.
Liberty, originally employed as a security guard at the Inter-Active Technologies premises, in Florida, from 2007 and by 2009, had advanced to the position of call centre agent, due to his own hard work, dedication and assistance from various staff members at the organisation.
Liberty's career success has progressed even further at Inter-Active Technologies, having recently been appointed to the position of quality assurer in the company's QA department. He says: “My new position in the QA department is more challenging than my previous one, but with hard work, I am sure I will be successful going forward, as I am very determined to keep growing within the company.”
Liberty's story is not a unique one at Inter-Active Technologies, as the organisation constantly strives to generate opportunities for all, even for those who are not officially a part of the company, such as Benson Mbokazi.
Mbokazi was previously employed as a security guard at the residential estate of Inter-Active Technologies Call Centre Manager, Yolande Terblanche, who recognised his potential and positive attitude, which are key in being a successful call centre agent. She provided him with a small laptop, and proceeded to assist him in learning new computer-based skills.
Mbokazi then followed a path similar to that of Liberty, and underwent the standard workplace assessment at Inter-Active Technologies. After he completed all the relevant training, he went on to apply for a call centre agent vacancy and has been successfully employed in one of the company's call centres for more than a year.
“Benson is one of our top performing agents within the call centre, and consistently adds value to our clients. He is very hard-working, and to date has never been late or absent. I am sure he will continue to thrive at Inter-Active Technologies,” says Terblanche.
Looking forward, Inter-Active Technologies General Manager of Operations, Bevin Sandras, is certain that the company will keep looking for untapped potential both internally and externally, with the purposes of developing talent and creating brighter futures.
“Our business' key asset is its people. Unlike many product or manufacturing-based companies, Inter-Active Technologies' core business is in fact the business of people, and as such, our key business objectives and our key development objectives are very much the same. This allows us and compels us to continue to focus on development and growth of our people,” he concludes.
