Inter-Active Technologies' local excellence recognised at international call centre awards

Leading call centre and customer interaction specialist, Inter-Active Technologies, continues to invest in its most valuable asset, as its people reach new heights with four nominations at the international 2012 Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Centre World Awards.

Johannesburg, 06 Jun 2012

Inter-Active Technologies, specialist in multi-channel customer service solutions, is proud to announce the nominations of four of its call centre personnel at the seventh annual Top Ranking Performers in the Contact Centre World Awards, to be held London, in June, this year.

“The Contact Centre World Awards serves as the international benchmark for call centres, call centre workforces and individual agents, where participants are evaluated against the best in the country, continent - and ultimately - the world,” says Inter-Active Technologies General Manager of Operations, Bevin Sandras.

“It is, therefore, a real testament to the quality of our call centres that four of our top performers have been nominated for these international awards. Unlike other similar events, these are considered by many in the industry to be the ultimate awards,” he continues.

The awards are presented to entrants who convince the judges, who are their peers in the industry, and not vendors or sponsors, that they are indeed the best. It is a multi-stage process, starting with online applications where no preliminary judge knows the individual's name, company or location, and only facts and figures are presented to determine if a candidate meets the requirements.

The four individuals that will represent Inter-Active Technologies are: Edmund Reddy and Yolande Retief in the 'Best Operational Manager' category; Lizole Mqingwana in the 'Best Support Professional - Workforce Planning' category; and Fezeka Kubeka in the 'Best Customer Service Agent' category.

Other entrants to the awards include globally-recognised companies such as Volkswagen Group, Virgin Mobile, Zurich Financial Services Group, Sony Ericsson, Intel Corporation, Nedbank Group and DHL Worldwide Express, among many others. “We are certainly up against some very strong competition; however, we are certain that our candidates will do Inter-Active Technologies proud,” adds Sandras.

Looking to the future, Inter-Active Technologies Managing Director, Jacqui van Staaden, states that the company will continue to invest in its most valuable asset, its people. With the Inter-Active Technologies Career Development and learnership programmes, the company continues to ensure that its people always come first, and that career and growth opportunities are constantly being made available for all. “The 2012 Contact Centre World Awards are a very exciting development for us, and we certainly hope to do well. However, our main focus has always been, and will continue to be, making sure our call centre agents work in the most optimal environment, with the aim of adding value to our clients' operations through our commitment to service and quality,” Van Staaden concludes.
