Interactive Intelligence seeking outrageous interactions for competition

Contact centre agents and managers can win R10 000 by sharing their craziest customer interactions with Interactive Intelligence's 'Outrageous Interactions' contest.

Johannesburg, 14 Apr 2010

Interactive Intelligence, global provider of unified IP business communications solutions and contact centre software, is giving South African contact centre agents and managers a chance to win R10 000 through its newly launched 'Outrageous Interactions' contest.

“Interactive Intelligence understands the demands that come from being an agent on the front lines of a contact centre. To honour this profession, and to inject a bit of humour into the industry, we have come up with the idea to collect any outrageous, bizarre and crazy interactions agents and managers have had with a customer,” says Dave Paulding, regional sales director for UK, Middle East and Africa at the company.

Interested call centre staff can go to the www.outrageousinteractions.co.za blog to submit their most insane interaction or e-mail their story to enter@outrageousinteractions.co.za. The only personal information that will be displayed with their incident will be a name and area of operation.

Eugene Nakedi, a competition entrant, shares his story about a lady that had bought a fridge from his company, and who found it not in working order. She went on about her meat defrosting and rotting and how angry she was at the fridge company. After letting her rant, Eugene assured her that a technician was on the way to have a look at the appliance. Upon his return, the technician went to Eugene to let him know what the problem was. Apparently, the lady, having failed to read the manual, had left the fridge at the default cooling setting of '0'.

The competition is open to South African call centre agents and managers only and the closing date for submissions is 30 July 2010. Reader comments on the blog entries will be the deciding factor in selecting the winner.
