Interactive Intelligence Inc, a global developer of business communications software, has received SearchCRM.com's 2006 Product of the Year Award in the category of Call Centre Suites.
The award was given on behalf of the company's Customer Interaction Centre (CIC) software (version 2.4), a unified communications software suite that provides traditional TDM and IP-based contact centre automation and enterprise telephony functionality for mid-size and large organisations.
CIC, which was evaluated by TechTarget's SearchCRM.com editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts and consultants, was selected in its category as "the most complete software, packaged as a call centre suite," according to judges.
"Interactive Intelligence continues to evolve CIC to meet the needs of today's contact centres. It has delivered a platform that supports multiple inbound (phone, Web chat, e-mail, FAX) and outbound communications, while providing key supporting applications such as integrated IVR, call and screen recording, quality monitoring, workforce management and reporting."
SearchCRM.com judges evaluated CIC based on the following criteria: innovation, performance, ease-of-integration into existing environments, ease-of-use and manageability, functionality and value.
Judges indicated they were "impressed by the innovation Interactive Intelligence has continued to show with its call centre platform" and concluded that the company "stood out as a leader in helping companies manage their call centres".
CIC, which was first released in 1997, is an open, single-platform, software-based unified communications system designed to reduce costs, simplify management, and ensure long-term investment protection.
