Business intelligence company, Cognos, is bringing its bold new vision, products and technical expertise to customers across SA, at its Enterprise 2002 User Conference. Communicating this vision will be several top international speakers for the further enrichment of delegates who attend.
Following the keynote opening by David Mc William, MD of Cognos South Africa, two prominent Cognos members will share their knowledge and expertise during the keynote address, namely Barbara Cain, Vice-President, Portfolio Management and Oliver Oursin, European services technical manager.
Oursin is responsible for the Cognos BI solutions in Europe. He has been involved in the long-term version planning from a European perspective, having had four years of experience with Cognos and its solutions.
As director of product management for Cognos Series 7, Cain delivered Cognos` first integrated enterprise BI solution in early 2002. Following her promotion to vice-president, portfolio management, she is responsible for the Global 2000 customer and portfolio business view, the product management process and the Cognos solution roadmap and characteristics.
These Cognos senior management will review the scope of the business intelligence market opportunity, explore how companies are using BI to optimise business performance, and present to the investment community Cognos` strategies for leadership in the BI market. This one-day event will also feature several of the company`s most significant enterprise customers, such as Woolworths, Merck Pharmaceuticals and Chemserve.
